- Is Oathify free?

- How many questions are on the U.S. citizenship civics test?
- The 2008 test has 100 possible questions; the officer asks up to 10 and you need 6 correct to pass. The redesigned 2025 test has 128 possible questions; the officer asks up to 20 and you need 12 correct.
- Will I take the 2008 or the 2025 civics test?
- It depends on your Form N-400 filing date. Applicants who filed before October 20, 2025 take the 2008 test; those who file on or after that date take the 2025 test. Oathify lets you practice either one.
- Are these the official USCIS civics questions?
- Yes. Every question comes from the official USCIS civics test items for the 2008 and 2025 versions. Oathify presents them as multiple choice for practice and, in simulation mode, as free-text questions like the real interview.
- Is Oathify affiliated with USCIS or the U.S. government?
